Carotid artery stenosis is a condition in which plaque build up in the carotid artery (artery in your neck that goes to the brain) narrows which can cause stroke, temporary blindness or permanent blindness. This condition can be treated with surgery, or endovascular stent placement or a combination procedure called transcarotid artery revascularization procedure (TCAR).
