Service Description

Subdural hematoma is a condition in which bleeding occurs in the space between the brain and the lining of the brain or dura. This is usually caused by a traumatic event however sometimes can occur spontaneously particularly in people on blood thinner medications. While many people need surgical evacuation of the blood clot, in some situations, endovascular embolization of the middle meningeal artery, has been shown to also treat this condition avoiding the need for a major operation.
