Vein of Galen Malformation

Service Description

Vein of Galen malformation is a rare condition seen in babies, and small children. Usually this can present with an enlarged head (increased head circumferece), hydrocephalus, heart failure, or delay in normal developmental milestones. We work closely with the Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) to coordinate treatment of this condition which usually involved endovascular embolization.
